IMER Asphalt Mixing Plant

Wet Batch Plants

Serve a dual purpose - batching and mixing. Meter your sand, aggregates, cement, water, additives - combine together into our mixers and dispense into your transport vehicle. The key benefits are:

Precisely engineered mix
Less wear on your transit mixer
Less cement needed to achieve desired concrete strength
Improved driver efficiency
Wider range of materials can be mixed.

Horizontal batch plants are used when the proper space and size can be configured to fit within a desired space. This is the most common size and shape for a batch plant in that it is easy to add, maintain and configure. Vertical batch plants are a good solution when space is at a premium such as in metropolitan areas. Vertical batch plants utilize height rather than footprint of the layout to add more capacity per acre. A wet system can be retrofitted to fit and work with a dry batch system with some accessories and modifications.

Dry Batch Plants

This is your typical application batch plant that meters the aggregate, sand, cement, water and additives to fill into a ready mix truck or similiar type mixer for aggitation on the jobsite. These are typically less expensive than the wet process batch plants due to the elimination of the mixer. Dry batch plants are found normally in places where the concrete does not need to be highly engineered or average concrete. Cost per cubic yard of concrete is more than per yard of wet batch concrete factored over time.

Mobile Batch Plants

Ideal solution for easy build and or for temporary solutions. Mobile batch plants can be used for temporary batching built with ease of erection in mind. Mobile plants can range from quick, simple installations to fully functional, high production wet process batch plants. IMER makes it easy to erect, transport and install with features like:

Prewired cages and preassembled components
Easy erection and assembly with a crane
Easy transport on flatbed trailer
Installation on a cement pad will minimal foundations
Use with IMER Radius lift arms or use with hopper and converyors

SERVICES

Fabrication

The chutes of this batch plant were severely worn out from the years of concrete batching (including hoppers, bins, mixers, and the like), so this was a job that involved service and fabrication outside of our shop. It was an all-hands-on-deck job that took place on-site — involving custom chute work, refabrication, and reinstallation. Reconditioning the batch plant took us just two weeks, exceeding the expectation and helping our customer get up and going quickly so they could satisfy their contracts and commitments.

Calibration

The drum mix system consists of a proportionally controlled cold feed system, which feeds onto an inclined conveyor that uses a belt scale to determine the weight of the aggregate (in tonnes per hour) being fed to the drum mixer. The asphalt proportioning system is interlocked with the aggregate conveyor and enters the drum mixer simultaneously with the aggregate. Plants are designed for remote controlled operation which utilizes digital readout of the automatic monitoring system. A surge storage system is incorporated to ensure a smooth truck traffic and constant plant operation.
